Loving Kenya!

***Insert Title Here***

June 19, 2017

There are many different titles I could put as the header for this email, but which one should I use?...

     -Crack-up
-Elder Joseph W Sitati and Toilet Water
     -Double Baptism!

I guess it's up to you!

I have so many stories to tell. But, for sake of time, I'll just touch briefly on the ones above.

First- how is the new FF album? I'm dying not having it.

Second- I'll make this story short. The hotel we went to for the singing thing/Temple announcement was very fancy and they had budaeys or however you spell them (*bidet). Elder Egbert blasted me with one in the chest, and when I walked out of the bathroom, Elder Sitati was standing there, and I greeted him while drenched in toilet water! Haha... Luckily he didn't know it...

Third- We had 2 baptisms this week! Awesome! John and Walter! Super happy for them!

Wish I had more time, but I'm short!

Love ya! See ya!

Wassup???

Hey family,

It was good to hear from you two today. (I'm assuming Conner and Aanika were too busy praying or studying their scriptures this week to email me.) I'm glad to hear things are good over there. I really liked that story about George Washington praying in Valley Forge and the connection to prayer in our own lives, and the quote about prayer being our spare tire or our steering wheel! It was a nice thought to think about.

Things over here are good. Good times rolling with the comp, and greater time rolling serving God. I had a pretty cool experience this week too! You know the eternal investigator named Eric I've told you about in the past? Well, we had a nice lesson with him and I totally pulled an Elder Fraga on the guy! After the lesson, I was like, "Well, why don't we ask God right now if our message is true?" On the spot! So I had everyone get on their knees, said a prayer literally asking that question. After the lesson, he was like, "For the first time I don't have any questions... I just feel... I feel so light?!...", and I was like, "Yeah Eric. That's the spirit. The church is true." and then we just ended. But yeah, It was awesome. Can't say I'm surprised though... Because obviously the church is true.

I think that thats pretty much it for the week! We finished some lessons with investigators and they should be interviewed for baptism this week, which is nice. And I've decided, I don't need to care about missing Conner's and Aanika's weddings. I don't need to see it. God does, and I'm happy they're getting married in the temple so He can.

WHAAAAA?????

June 5, 2017

HOLY CRAP! Aanika and Adam are engaged!!! Holy, holy crap! That is awesome! And it sounds like Idaho is just as awesome as ever! I’m glad you guys are having a good time and the pictures of Utah just look sweet! (does this sound familiar?...mwahaha the wonders of modern technology... #copyandpaste)

But, yeah, for real pretty cool. I'm glad to see everyone's getting married without me. But it's okay. It's not like I wanted to go anyways. *turns head and sheds a tear*...

Anyways, the week was good! Feelin' strong! Teachin' and preachin' and nothin's goin' wrong!(Get it? Cause it rhymes) The church is definitely true. If it wasn't I'm sure we all would have screwed it up a long time ago!

Some exciting things that have happened: Joined a missionary choir, because there is a big press conference to announce the temple that we are singing at! Should be pretty big! My man, Joseph W Sitati, is comin to town to be the general authority present. But, yeah, it should be on the news and the president of Kenya is invited. (Not to say that he will actually come though...) I thought about bringin' the alter ego back for a night, the one and only Elder Buble', but I have decided to keep him on the down low, fermenting like a nice cheese. But just because the fans probably won't believe I can sing like Mike. You can post the vid to the blog if you want! lol. (***"wish I could get a copy of that video" -Elder Fraga's mom)

Well, I'd like to make a shout out to the big man Jeff Franco, for the life changing advice that I received prior to the mission. That has come to really help! I'm embracing the awkward like a real champ man! Thanks!

We went to the biggest mall in East Africa today, and in fact it is the biggest mall I've ever been to in my entire life. It's pretty nice. We got Burger King, and good news! I've officially decided to become a vegetarian again when I get home because their burgers taste like horse meat cooked on a big dirty penny! Gross!

I don't really know what else to say? I got a cool African scripture case, and my seminary scriptures are rollin' like a boss hog! Yeah! Those things are the best! Dear high school students, I will echo the words from the past when I said go to seminary. Honestly, it's the only real class that will help you in the long run (eternity wise).

I love ya all! Life is good! You know how I used to "jump off the grid" every once in a while back home? Im thinking about doing so again out here. I might not do a "weekly email" for a while, who knows!

Anyways, love ya again! We will see ya soon! Please like this video, subscribe to my channel and leave comments below! #funtimesinbabylon! #muchlove
