Well, I'm moving to Kisumu. Moving instead of being transfered, because Zimmerman really did become my HOME. Not just another area. I loved the 6 months that I was able to spend there. The people in that ward, and the investigators that we had, are seriously just awesome. And now they are in the hands of sister missionaries. It was actually a little sad saying goodbye to people on Sunday... Taking pictures and having them write little messages in a book that I brought was TOUGH! And when I was bearing my testimony for the last time, I thought about crying! But only because some people were in the congregation... But I love those guys. They're like family.
Anyways, here I am in Kisumu now, the third largest city in Kenya, which from my opinion can be likened to Cedar City, in Utah. I don't know much about the area, considering I got here just about an hour and a half ago, but I know it's famous for their fish, and it is on the shore of Lake Victoria, the biggest lake in Africa! Wow! I haven't seen it yet, but I hope to... My new companion is Elder Jack from Zimbabwe. He seems pretty pacyipa (cool in Shona) I'm excited to see what happens this transfer!
But let me tell you about how weird, and awesome, and chill today was. First off it was super weird because I was alone throughout the 9 hours of traveling... I haven't been alone for 9 months!... Super weird... Awesome, because Kenya is awesome, and when we were driving over I was reminded of how beautiful this place is... Look up pictures of the Rift Valley and the Nakuru Forest! We were on the top of a mountain, driving through a cloud, in the middle of a pine tree forest! Where did that come from? I don't know, but it was awesome! I got to see some crazy awesome mountains, and lakes and a bunch of other crap. It was cool, and it was super chill cause I just read General Conference talks, looked out the window, and ate some food. Haha! It was cool.
But yeah! Life goin' alright! Feelin' good feelin' strong, and building God's kingdom!
But I love you guys!
I'll talk to ya l8r!
